Our Story

Tucked away in the heart of Mountain Brook’s Crestline Village, Crestline Bagel is where tradition and timelessness meet at the table. For nearly 30 years, we’ve been serving authentic artisan food and offering a community dining experience for families and friends. Our delicious bagels, breads, spreads and specialty sandwiches are intentionally handcrafted with love using age-old methods and local, natural and whole ingredients—we promise you’ll taste our tradition.

Whether you’re treating yourself to a savory treat or joining family for a weekend tradition, we hope you’ll make yourself at home and make bite-sized memories while you’re here!

As a Birmingham native…

Lizzie grew up as a Crestline Bagel loyalist from a young age. After we met at the University of Alabama, we moved to Birmingham where Lizzie quickly converted Tommy, too. We have one son, Thomas, who is also a Crestline Bagel fanatic. It runs in the family!

During drives through our neighborhood, we were inspired by families walking together to the park or to dinner – a very idyllic and slower-paced lifestyle than so much of the modern world. We saw an opportunity to preserve this special place in our community, just as other legacy businesses and restaurants have been for generations now. Crestline Bagel is a place where people gather across all phases of life. Parents bring their young kids, grandparents bring their grandchildren, high schoolers stop in on their way to school, and college kids visit when they come back home.

We hope to see you soon for a jalapeño bagel with garlic + herb cream cheese (Tommy’s fave)!
